Creating space for your journey back to you…

Hello, my name is Joanna

I believe that within each of us lies the wisdom to heal, grow, and find our way forward – sometimes we just need a safe, non-judgmental space to rediscover it.

Life can often feel like a balancing act between who you truly are and who you think you need to be for others.

My approach to counselling is about gently peeling back the layers of expectations, self-doubt, and fear, so you can reconnect with the parts of you that feel more authentic – your values, passions, and sense of self.

Whether you're seeking to repair a relationship, find your voice, heal old wounds, or simply feel more at peace with who you are, I'm here to walk alongside you on that journey.

My approach: rooted in understanding

I view early life experiences as the important foundation on which we build what follows. Together, we can explore how your experiences have shaped the person you've become – understanding your strengths, recognizing patterns, and uncovering the unconscious motivations that might be holding you back from living the fulfilling life you deserve.

My therapeutic approach draws from both Person-Centred and Psychodynamic therapeutic perspectives, creating a space that is:

  • Honest and empathic

  • Collaborative, not directive

  • Focused on your unique journey

  • Grounded in self-awareness and self-compassion

"True growth begins with self-awareness and offering some of the kindness we give to others, to ourselves."

Who I work with

I have the privilege of working with adults and young people from all walks of life, each bringing their own unique story and challenges.

Many of my clients are going through significant life changes – perhaps facing a mid-life transition, struggling to repair a relationship, processing trauma or distressing experience, understanding an ASD, ADD or ADHD diagnosis, or simply feeling disconnected from their authentic selves.

I particularly welcome:

  • Working professionals seeking flexible evening appointments

  • Neurodiverse individuals exploring life through a new lens of understanding

  • Anyone experiencing depression, anxiety, identity questions, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, or low self-esteem

  • Those navigating life transitions or feeling stuck in old patterns

  • Parents, Young people and Couples seeking to improve their relationships

Your Journey Starts Here

Every therapeutic relationship begins with a telephone consultation. This gives us both the chance to explore whether we're a good fit and how therapy might help you. From there, we'll work together to create a framework that suits your needs – whether that's weekly or fortnightly sessions.
